General Information about this website
8/11/2002 - I'm certain that there very few of you who have breathed the air and viewed the yard from the Mossy's porch, that haven't been affected in a profound way. This website is for those who have. I do not plan to advertise nor do I have aspirations of attracting casual browsers. As a matter of fact, the fewer people that feel the passion I have for this place, the less crowded it will be for those of us who enjoy the quiet solitude Mossy has to offer. Although I love the thrill of showing off Mossy to others, if someone doesn't respond with joy and enthusiasm on their first visit to Mossy, they probably won't get the benefit of second. Although this site is meant for past visitors who have a tie to Mossy, you are welcome to share it with those you might be thinking of bringing here some day.
You may enjoy the site better by changing the size of the frames that make up each page. I also sometime find the use of the arrow keys easier than mousing the scroll bars. I hope that some of you will contribute photos, videos, and stories to this site. I have set up an index to navigate from the "home page" to other pages and hope to add more to the index as time goes by. Some of my ideas are to add logbooks, videos, photo's, history, stories, river & fishing reports, tips on lures, bait, & locations, questions & comments, calendar, & an address book. The most important thing I want to accomplish with this site is for it to be fun and have a good time when visiting it.
I would appreciate it if you would email or snailmail me any comments or questions you might have regarding mossyspring.com. Please send email to johnhotze@mossyspring.com or snailmail to John Hotze - 919 Carriage Circle Lane - Apt F - Kirkwood, Mo - 63122. I want to thank Bill O'Brien who has already contributed a lot material and pictures that I scanned during my last trip to Mossy. Please feel free to send me standard or digital copies of any photo's you would like to see published to this website. I would also enjoy making short video clips of any videos that you want to send a copy of. Due to the limited amount of disk space, I can't promise that what you send me will become a permanent page on the site. When the site gets further developed and it contains most of the historical info and pictures, I will gladly burn CD's of it for members and families of Mossy. jkh
